Pools Prepare For Busy Summer

BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Jump on in.

The Central Area of Brevard County Parks and Recreation has opened registration for summer aquatics programs.

Swim lessons are offered in six sessions from April 29 to Aug. 2 at McLarty Park at 790 Barton Blvd. in Rockledge; and four sessions from June 3 to Aug. 2 at Merritt Island High School at 100 Mustang Way on Merritt Island, for ages 6 months to adults.

The Aquacolts Swim Team also will be held at Merritt Island High School.

The Electric Eels swim team program will be held at Rockledge High School at 220 Raider Road in Rockledge.

The pools at McLarty Park at 790 Barton Blvd in Rockledge; Joe Lee Smith Park at 419 Washington Ave. in Cocoa; and Pineda Park at 1232 A Street in  Cocoa will be open starting Memorial Day weekend, May 25 to 27.

Open swim will be offered from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturdays from June 1 to Aug. 3.

The cost for open swim is $2 per person.
