Free Kids' Admission To Art Of Sand

BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – April is the month of the Military Child, a time to recognize and appreciate military children for their service.

In celebration of the Month of the Military Child, throughout April the Brevard Zoo is offering service members a free child’s admission to the Art of Sand exhibit with each paid adult admission to the Art of Sand exhibit (discount is not applicable to Zoo admission).

And every day of the year, Brevard Zoo offers a military discount of $1 off general Zoo admission for service members and their dependents.

Proof of military service is required and one adult ticket for Art of Sand must be purchased to receive the free child’s admission to Art of Sand. Accepted identification includes U.S. Uniform Services Card (active/reserve), Current Leave and Earnings Statement, a photograph in uniform, wearing a uniform or DD214.

Brevard Zoo is home to more than 650 animals representing more than 165 species found in Florida, South America, Africa, Asia and Australia.

The zoo features many extraordinary animal experiences including giraffe and lorikeet feedings, African kayak tours, paddle boats in the wetlands and a train ride. Brevard Zoo is a not-for-profit organization accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.

The zoo is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the last admission at 4:15 p.m. Treetop Trek is open daily at

9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the last admission at 3 p.m. for the Treetop Challenge Course and 3:30 p.m. for the Canopy Walk and Chutes and Ladders courses.

In the case of a military parent being deployed, the Brevard Zoo will honor the discount when the spouse or guardian of the child purchases the adult ticket.
