Dr. Richard Levine Presents Oncology Practice Initiative In Puerto Rico

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Richard Levine, MD, board certified medical oncologist at Space Coast Cancer Center, was a featured speaker at the Florida Society of Clinical Oncology and the Puerto Rican Society of Oncology annual combined meeting.

Dr. Levine presented the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI). He encouraged the medical oncologists of Puerto Rico to participate in the QOPI program. Space Coast Cancer Center was one of the first 25 practices in the United States to participate in QOPI, and was the first practice in Florida to be certified for quality by ASCO’s QOPI program.

Dr. Levine also presented to the physicians the value of a multispecialty comprehensive community cancer center.

STATE-OF-THE -ART FACILITIES

The physicians of Space Coast Cancer Center built the Viera Cancer Center and Titusville Cancer Center, both providing state-of-the-art radiation therapy with the Varian TrueBeam and Trilogy linacs, 4,000 square foot infusion centers for delivering chemotherapy, biologic therapy and targeted therapy. Additionally, comprehensive laboratory services and clinical trials are available for the patients cared for at Space Coast Cancer Center.
