Shooting Reported On Pond Street In Melbourne

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – A shooting was reported about 5:30 p.m. this evening in the 2700 block of Pond Street in Melbourne.
One person was struck in the head, and police on scene described the victim as having a grazing wound. The victim, who was not identified, was transported to Holmes Regional Medical Center. The victim’s condition was not immediately available and neighbors reported hearing multiple shots.
One neighbor, who declined an interview, estimated there were 10 to 15 shots fired. Police are looking for the vehicle used in the shooting.
