One Senior Place Care Management, along with DeLaura Financial Planning and Viera Insurance Professionals, will present “Have a Plan, Not a Crisis” on Tuesday, April 9 in Viera.

Participants attending will be issued a workbook for notes and personal calculations as the session addresses projected healthcare costs, retirement benefits, living arrangements, life and long-term care insurance and more.

Refreshments will be provided by JR’s Rib Shack.

Workshops are set for at 2 and 6 p.m. are at One Senior Place, 8085 Spyglass Hill Road in Viera.

Jim DeLaura of DeLaura Financial Planning frames the event in a business context.

“As America’s workforce ages, business owners could be in for a big shock,” said DeLaura. “Unprepared employees in key, senior positions can quit very suddenly to care for aging parents or deal with an unforeseen crisis in their personal lives.  That’s when it becomes a crisis for the employer, too.”

“Have a Plan, Not a Crisis” is just one of dozens of events presented annually by One Senior Place, a marketplace for resources and provider of information, advice, care and on-site services for seniors and their families.
