Youth Orchestra Prepares For Final Concert Of Season

Performance Nears In Cocoa Beach

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA –  The Brevard Symphony Youth Orchestra will wrap up its 29th season with a concert celebrating mothers everywhere.

The “Outrageous Overtures” concert will be performed at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, May 11 at the Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. Performing Arts Center.

The Philharmonic, Symphony Orchestra, and String Ensemble will all perform some of the world’s finest overtures as the orchestra bids farewell to another year and gets ready to kick off its 30th anniversary season in 2013-14.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for students and seniors (60-plus).

The Brevard Symphony Youth Orchestra is made up of students ages 6 to 18 who are admitted through a competitive audition process.

It offers these talented young musicians the opportunity to expand their skills in classical music and to work with a peer group that has attained the same level of expertise and talent.
