Brevard Deputies Arrest School Burglary Suspects

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Deputies patrolling Space Coast Jr./Sr. High caught two suspects in the process of burglarizing the school yesterday at about 10 p.m., according to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

The suspects, Chris Gannon, 18, and his 16-year old accomplice are both students of Space Coast Jr./Sr. High.

According to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, several Brevard County School burglaries have been reported in the Port St John area over the past three weeks.

BOTH SUSPECTS CONFESSED

The suspects were arrested on school grounds without incident and were found in possession of burglary tools and stolen property.

Both suspects confessed to their involvement in the recent school burglaries.

Both were charged with four counts of Burglary to a Structure, three counts of Criminal Mischief, two counts of Petit Theft, Theft of a Fire Extinguisher and Possession of Burglary Tools, according to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office

Gannon was transported to the Brevard County Jail Complex and the 16-year old was transported to the Brevard County Juvenile Detention Center.
