BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Chief Larry Collins announced today that Lieutenant Don Slayman will be the Public Information Officer (PIO) for Brevard County Fire Rescue.

He replaces Lieutenant Jeff Taylor who recently returned to Fire Suppression duty on Engine 29.

Slayman was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in 2012 and has nearly eight years of service with Brevard County Fire Rescue. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and recently completed the Public Information Officer Program at the Florida State Fire College.
