BREVARD COUNTY • WEST MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – A Melbourne man who responded to an online advertisement became the victim of an armed robbery early this morning in the City of West Melbourne, according to the West Melbourne Police Department.

According to Lt. Richard Cordeau, the victim was picked up in a vehicle by Nicole Marie Hendershot, 28, and an unidentified woman, and then driven to a residence in West Melbourne.

As soon as the victim and the two women entered the residence, William Thomas Pease, 29, pointed a gun at the victim’s head and demanded his money and personal effects, according to Lt. Cordeau.

As Pease held the gun to the victim’s head, one of the women suspects began taking the victim’s cash, cell phone and wallet. Pease then ordered the victim to get back in the vehicle, and was then taken to several ATM machines to withdraw more money.

While driving to a bank, the victim escaped from the vehicle when they stopped at a traffic light on Hollywood Blvd.

According to Lt. Cordeau, Pease and Hendershot have been positively identified and are in police custody on charges of Armed Robbery and Armed Kidnapping. The other female has yet to be identified.
