BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Two pedestrians were struck and killed on May 6 at 8:50 p.m. at the intersection of King St. (SR 520) at Lime St. in Cocoa, Florida, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The Florida Highway Patrol has identified the deceased pedestrians as Xuewei Liu, 26, of EL Monte, California, and Shudong Li, 49, also of Monte, California.

Two Pedestrians Killed In Cocoa Crossing SR 520

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Two pedestrians were struck and killed last night at 8:50 p.m. at the intersection of King St. (SR 520) at Lime St. in Cocoa, Florida, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

FHP-435-55Both pedestrian’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Johnny Harvey Jr., 42, was driving westbound on King St. in a 2006 Nissan when the pedestrians were attempting to cross King St. from the north to the south.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol report, the pedestrians entered into the direct path of Harvey, and were not in a crosswalk or at an intersection. The front of Harvey’s vehicle struck both pedestrians, who were pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident remains under investigation.
