BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Last Saturday, members of our Crime Prevention Unit, Motor Unit, Bomb Unit, Patrol Unit, Explorers, Ag Marine and K-9 all participated in a Child Safety Crime Prevention Program that was hosted by Target of Merritt Island.

The primary goal of the event was to share valuable Crime Prevention and Safety information with parents and children in an effort to keep our communities safe.

The Masonic Children's Identification Program travels to various events with the Brevard County Sheriff's Department to provide "Child ID" Kits to parents at no cost. The Masonic Program uses the latest in computerized fingerprinting technology and works in concert with our Brevard County Crime Prevention Task Force.
