BREVARD COUNTY • CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – Craig Technologies, a premier woman-owned engineering and technical services firm, will be recognized during the Technology and Government Dinner on June 20 at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D.C. as part of the 2013 TechAmerica Foundation American Technology Awards (ATAs).

The Craig Technologies Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing Center (ADMC) was named a finalist in the Aerospace and Defense category for the ATAs.  The awards recognize leading products and services across the technology industry and are awarded on the basis of a thorough evaluation by industry experts and technology leaders.

The ADMC was opened January 1 following the signing of a Space Act Agreement with NASA’s Kennedy Space Center. Craig Technologies enhanced their high-tech manufacturing capabilities to include over 2,000 pieces of specialty equipment once used during NASA’s Shuttle program.

The ADMC continues to be capable of repairing, manufacturing and testing human spaceflight-rated hardware, but has now made these assets available to support commercial space and satellite programs, rail and transport, aviation, energy and other varied commercial manufacturing fabrication and testing activities.
