BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – Health First will present the 5th Annual Free CPR Day on Saturday, June 8 from 7 a.m. – 11 a.m. at Space Coast Stadium.

Health First CPR Day, which trains people how to save a life, is open to anyone ages 5 and up, and this is the first year the event will include a free 5K. Everyone who participates in the CPR training or 5K will receive a free t-shirt.

The 5k run will begin at 7 a.m., the gates open at 8 a.m. and CPR training begins at 9 a.m.

FRIENDS & FAMILY CPR TRAINING

The Health First Education & Training Center will provide the American Heart Association’s “Friends & Family” CPR and AED Training.

Please note this does not meet most job-required certifications. Registration is required for both the 5K and CPR training.

“Learning CPR and how to survive a heart attack is just as important as preventing a heart attack,” said Health First Medical Group Cardiologist Dr. Cesar Jara. “At Health First, we help provide the tools the community needs to do both.”

In 2012 alone, the Heart Center at Health First Holmes Regional Medical Center performed more than 1,000 heart and vascular procedures.
