Miss USA 2013, the 62nd Miss USA pageant, was held on last night at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The winner will represent the United States at Miss Universe 2013 in Moscow Russia. The outgoing titleholder of Miss USA 2012, Nana Meriwetherof Maryland, crowned her successor, Erin Brady of Connecticut – that state’s first ever Miss USA crown.
Michelle Aguirre, 20, of Hialeah represented Florida.
Fans were able to vote for their favorite contestant through the Miss USA website, from May 15 to June 15. The winner of this fan vote will win a semifinalist spot in the pageant on the final night. Miss Texas USA, Alexandria Nugent won the most twitter votes to enter the top 6.
