Brevard Zoo’s Impala Calf Moves To Hoofstock Barn

African antelope can run 55 mph

BREVARD COUNTY • SUNTREE, FLORIDA – The Brevard Zoo wants you to meet our their impala calf. 

Brevard-Zoo-180-2He was born on the Zoo’s African Veldt in Expedition Africa on May 30 and moved to the hoofstock barn until he learned to follow his dam consistently. An impala is a medium-sized African antelope that can run up to 55 mph, jump 10 feet high and leap 30 feet in one bound.

Look for him when you visit the giraffe feeding platform or kayak the Nyami Nyami River in Expedition Africa.
