Eastern Florida Women’s Tennis Team Announces New Players

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA – Eastern Florida State College’s women’s tennis team, which is approaching its inaugural season, has signed three new players but would like to add one or two more to its roster.

On Thursday, Coach Chuck Jacobs announced the signings of:

Heavily recruited Isabella Sella of Brazil will start her collegiate career at Eastern Florida.

Isabella Sella of Valinhos, Brazil. “Sella holds a Top 50 International Tennis Federation Junior Ranking in South America,” Jacobs said. “She was a NCAA Division I or Division II recruit we were able to grab.”

Hope Fellows of Cocoa Beach, Florida. “She played from the No. 1 and No. 2 position for Cocoa Beach High School and trained at the Racquet Club of Cocoa Beach under Richard Cote,” Jacobs said.

Laura Gorski of Palm Bay, Florida. “She played from the No. 2 position at Palm Bay High and is a strong fighter and doubles specialist,” Jacobs said.

Sella holds a Top 50 International Tennis Federation Junior Ranking in South America,” Jacobs said. “She was a NCAA Division I or Division II recruit we were able to grab.”

Eastern Florida will play the 2013 fall and 2014 spring seasons with the fall season beginning in August. Practices and matches will be held at the city of Melbourne’s Jimmy Moore Tennis Complex at Sarno and Wickham roads.
