Joe Raley State Farm Receives Business Recognition Award

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Joe Raley State Farm Insurance has been awarded the Commissioner’s Business Recognition Award by the Florida Department of Education.

The award was officially granted at the awards reception on June 13 in Tampa, Florida.

Each year, the Florida Education Foundation and Florida Department of Education recognize those businesses throughout Florida for their innovative partnerships and exemplary support of public education.

Recipients are selected that have shown an outstanding commitment to improving education by partnering with schools in the community.

The commissioner of Education, Dr. Tony Bennett, presented the awards to the recipients this year, a practice held for the past 26 years.

Joe Raley State Farm Insurance Agency also received the small Business Partner of the Year Award from the Brevard Public Schools.

“I’m honored to receive this recognition,” said Raley.

“As a parent and business owner I feel everyone plays a role in the education and future of our children. I feel privileged to be in the position and have the opportunity to provide the time, talent and treasure to the Brevard Public Schools, especially to Eau Gallie High School who nominated me. I am honored to be a business partner for BPS.”

Joe Raley State Farm Insurance, located in Palm Bay, is a full service insurance agency covering auto, home, life, health, bank and mutual funds.

Associated with State Farm since 1991, Raley has received numerous multiline sales awards and is a recipient of the State Farm Ambassador Club Award.

Raley currently sits on the board of directors for the Greater Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce and is a graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma.

The Florida Education Foundation is a not for profit corporation approved by the Florida Department of State, and is a Department of Education direct-support organization, whose purpose is to lead in education enhancements statewide.

The Foundation is dedicated to the success of public prekindergarten through twelfth grade Florida students.

The primary purpose of the Foundation is to encourage collaboration among parents, business people, community members and Florida’s public schools to improve student performance.

The Foundation serves as the catalyst that promotes excellence for Florida’s public PreK-12 education by fostering the development of community and private sector resources.
