September 7 is the big day for head coach Steve Engelhart, his coaching staff, and his young squad of recruits. This will be day one for the panther program that’s taken nearly two years to build from scratch.

From the conception of the idea, Coach Engelhart has left his fingerprint all over the new program.

This is a new chapter for the Panther athletic department, but one that has taken on much importance. The football program as a whole looks to have a very bright future under the tactical mind of Coach Engelhart.

LOCAL RECRUITING GOING WELL FOR THE PANTHERS

With the “untapped breeding ground” of players that Brevard County has to offer, the goal of FIT football is to be a homegrown national championship team.

“The level of commitment and support the program has received from not only the institution but the community of Brevard has been remarkable,” said Coach Engelhart.

45 DAYS REMAINING TO KICK OFF

Looking forward, he hopes to be hosting a crowd of 7,000 plus in the 6,000 seat Palm Bay High stadium September 7, when his Panthers take on Stetson.

So, as the countdown dwindles with only 45 days remaining to kick off, we must rally in support as the Florida Tech squad gears up and gets set for the ultimate goal – to implement that which Brevard has been deprived of, College Football on the Space Coast.
