Volunteers Assists Zoo In All Operations

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — Brevard Zoo welcomes you to take part in its Zoo Volunteer Program.

Brevard Zoo encourages public involvement designed to aid the Zoo in all aspects of operation. As a non-profit organization, the zoo is dependent upon and very grateful to their volunteers, who help with everything from special events to educational programs.

All applicants to the Adult Volunteer Program are required to attend an Applicant Orientation Session. They will then schedule an interview during the two weeks following the orientation. If accepted into the Volunteer Program, the new volunteers must attend any required classes for their assignment. The next orientation is scheduled for Saturday, August 10.

Training classes are scheduled for Saturday, August 24. If attendance is not possible, please contact Jean Galvin, Director of Volunteer Programs, at 321-254-9453 ext. 218. Please check this page prior to attending for updated information.

GROUP VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Brevard Zoo welcomes the opportunity to work with local businesses to plan an employee volunteer day. Whether it’s landscaping, light maintenance, or cleaning storage units the volunteer experience is always more fun when it’s done at the Zoo.
