Health First Hosts ‘Preparing Our Nurses For Tomorrow’ Sept. 25-26

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — Health First will host a nursing conference, “The Art of Precepting: Preparing Our Nurses for Tomorrow,” on Wednesday, Sept. 25 and Thursday, Sept. 26.

The conference will be held at the Melbourne Area of Realtors, located at 1450 Sarno Road in Melbourne from 8 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. The event is free to Health First nurses and is $49 for non-Health First associates.

The keynote speaker will be President & CEO of G.A.M.E.S., Michele Deck, who is a world-renowned nursing educator and speaker.

This program has been approved for 4.0 hours of continuing nursing education through the Health First Center for Learning, CE Broker No. 50-873.

Registration and breakfast are at 7:30 a.m. on both days. Participants need to attend only one day. Breakfast and snacks are included.

Set up in 2011 to honor healthcare leaders Mike Means and Larry Garrison, charitable donations may be made to the Endowment Fund in support of nursing.

Keynote speaker Michele Deck, M.Ed, RN, LCCE, FACCE presents nationally and internationally on innovative teaching methods in the field of health care education and training.

Her honors include the National Nursing Staff Development Organization’s prestigious Belinda E. Puetz Award (2000), election to Sigma Theta Tau National Nursing Honor Society, Business Woman of the Year (2003) by the National Business Council and Best Overall Trainer by Creative Training Techniques Companies.

She is co-founder and CEO of G.A.M.E.S., a company that specializes in seminars on adult learning and interactive teaching methods.
