Mustangs Look for sixth consecutive playoff

BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Head Coach Jeff Mclean’s Merritt Island Mustangs features 20 seniors and is looking forward to having another crop of outstanding players.
Last year the ‘Stangs went 10-3 and are led by their highly rated seniors QB Nick Smith and LB Ty Schwab.
“We have some good experience coming back – and this is a good senior class,” said coach Mclean.
Merritt Island has been in the playoffs for five consecutive season. Cocah McLean has a career 4-5 record in the playoffs. The Mustangs are 43-27 all-time in the playoffs and had made 30 appearances since 1967. The ‘Stangs have three state titles and are sixth all-time in Florida high school football history.
