MOVIE THEATER IN VIERA EVACUATED

BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – The Carmike Cinemas Avenue 16, located at 2241 Town Centre Avenue in Viera, has been evacuated as a precaution due to a suspicious package, according to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Deputies were called at about 8 p.m. and the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad is on scene. According to the Sheriff’s Office and eye witnesses, no one has been hurt and the evacuation was orderly.
According to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, the theater received a threatening phone call which prompted a search by BCSO. The suspected package was located and determined not be a threat.
