Tropical Depression #5 Becomes Tropical Storm Erin

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — The National Hurricane Center issued its Thursday Morning, August 15th advisory about the official formation Tropical Storm Erin

As of the latest update from the National Hurricane Center,Tropical Storm Erin is located 14.5 N, 25.6 W, moving toward the West-Northwest near 16 MPH, with Maximum sustained winds at 40 MPH.  Estimated minimum central pressure is 1006 MB and Tropical Storm force winds extend outward up to 35 miles from the center.
