Webster Takes Helm of Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber

BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Linda Webster has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce by the organization’s Board of Directors, and is scheduled to assume her new position immediately.

“I am deeply honored and humbled to have the opportunity to serve the Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce in this capacity,” Webster said following her appointment on August 14.

“It is a great responsibility and I know together we can take the Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce to the next level. I look forward to working with the wonderful Chamber staff, Board of Directors, Chamber Partnership and community leaders to pursue excellence.”

OUTSTANDING LEADERSHIP SKILLS

Webster has worked as the Chief Financial Officer of the Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce since 2007 and holds a BS degree from Southeast Missouri State University. Webster has two children, Mathew, who is in the U.S. Coast Guard, and Jenna, a senior at Merritt Island High School.

“This coupled with her ability to embrace the mission of the chamber and solid relationships with all facets of the chamber make us confident she will lead the Chamber into the next phase of success and benefit to our partnership and the community at large.”

The mission of the Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce is to serve as the voice of business, enhances the quality of life in the community and acts as a catalyst for business success.

“I am very happy with the choice of the new CEO,” said Brenda Fettrow, Past Chair, CBRCC Board of Directors and the District Vice-President of the Central Florida YMCA.

WELCOME RECEPTION SET FOR SEPT. 5

The CBRCC’s Board of Directors will host a Welcome reception to introduce Linda Webster as the new CEO on Thursday, September 5th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Comfort Inn and Suites, 3901 N. Atlantic Ave., Cocoa Beach.   The event is free to attend with hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar.

The Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce was established in 1968 and serves Cape Canaveral, Cocoa, Cocoa Beach, Kennedy Space Center, Merritt Island, Patrick Air Force Base, Port St. John, Rockledge, Palm Shores, Suntree and Viera.
