Melbourne Police Investigating Shooting on Olympic Way

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA — Melbourne Police Department is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding a shooting in area of 242 Olympic Way.

A man suspected of robbing Wuesthoff Hospital's Gift Shop in Melbourne has been taken into custody by Melbourne Police Department.
Melbourne Police Department is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding a shooting in area of 242 Olympic Way.

According to Melbourne Police Lt. Peter Mercaldo,  officers responded to a call regarding a gun shot victim. Upon their arrival they found an adult male with a multiple gunshot wound to his leg and hand. The victim was taken to Holmes Regional Medical Center for treatment and at this time is in stable condition.
