CAR violatED motorcycle’s right-of-way

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – A 2007 Victory motorcycle traveling westbound on Sarno Road tonight at 7:37 p.m. was hit by a car violating the motorcycle’s right-of-way, according to the Melbourne Police Department.

A local Mims meat market and grocery store sustained damage today as a result of a fire in the rear of the store. Brevard County Fire Rescue (BCFR) received notification shortly after 3:50 p.m. that the grocery store on Main Street (S.R. 46) and Taylor Ave was on fire.
A 2007 Victory motorcycle traveling westbound on Sarno Road tonight at 7:37 p.m. was hit by a car violating the motorcycle’s right-of-way, according to the Melbourne Police Department.

As the motorcyclist and his female passenger approached the west entrance to Walmart, a 2010 Nissan Altima, driven by Cyril Caldwell of Melbourne, turned left into the parking lot, violating the motorcycle’s right-of-way.

The rider and his passenger remain in critical condition. Both of their identities are pending notification of next of kin.
