The Women’s Center North Guild received a financial donation from the Doctors Goodwill Foundation and will host a unique fundraiser, raising funds to help in the development of support for women in need.

BREVARD COUNTY  • TITUSVILLE FLORIDA — The Women’s Center North Guild received a financial donation from the Doctors Goodwill Foundation and will host a unique fundraiser, raising funds to help in the development of support for women in need.

“This is a great cause and a very effective solution for women in need to be protected and to feel safe,” said Dr. Kanti Bhalani, founder and President of the Doctors Goodwill Foundation.

“We are very happy to see the development at present and as the only center for women in the north of Brevard, we see it deal very well with so many problems.

A HAVEN FOR WOMEN IN DISTRESS

The Women’s Center North Guild was formed in fall 2012, through a series of group meetings called Vision for Victims. The funds raised are used to support the efforts of the Titusville office and for the construction of a future shelter.

MISSION

The Women’s Center’s mission is to empower women and their families by providing support, education, counseling, information and services. It strives to be a progressive center, serving the community, to expand and grow to meet the changing needs in women’s lives, to help women and families help themselves to develop safe, healthy and self sufficient lives and to provide the gift of hope and courage, changing lives for the better.

“DUDE LOOKS LIKE A LADY” FUNDRAISER SET FOR OCTOBER 18

The Women’s Center North and South Guilds new fundraising event, cocktail party, and fashion show promises to be a fun filled and unforgettable evening with Sheriff Wayne Ivey as Master of Ceremonies.

“Dude Looks Like A Lady: Men Against Domestic Violence” event presented by the Women’s Center North and South Guilds, will be held Friday, October 18that Bruce Deardoff’s Island Lincoln Jaguar Range Rover, Merritt Island from 6:00 to 9:00  pm.

Sheriff Wayne Ivey is the Honorary Chair and will serve as the Master of Ceremonies. The event will showcase Brevard County’s finest made-over men, dressed up as their favorite and most admired women and featured in a fashion show.
