Native Rhythms Festival This Weekend

ABOVE VIDEO: Award-winning musicians from all over the United States will be performing at the 5th Annual Native Rhythms Festival – including two-time Grammy Award winning Native American flutist and performer Robert Mirabal.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — In celebration of Native American Heritage Month, the Native Heritage Gathering and the Indian River Flute Circle will host a Native American music, arts and crafts festival at the Wickham Park amphitheater in Melbourne, Florida, this weekend, November 8 – 10.

Admission to the festival is free. Musical performances are scheduled throughout each day, with headliner performances starting in the late afternoon through 10 p.m.

Multiple award-winning musicians from all over the United States will be performing throughout the weekend, including a Saturday and Sunday performance by two-time Grammy Award winning Native American flutist and performer Robert Mirabal.

Other headliner performers include, Mark Holland, Scott August, Randy Granger, Billy Whitefox, Painted Raven, Jan Seiden,  Dock Green Silverhawk, Jonny Lipford, and Ed Wind Dancer.

The festival will also host a free educational workshop series that focuses on flute playing, history, beading, guitar playing, drumming and much more. In addition, over 40 vendors will sell musical instruments, native style and environmental arts and crafts and food.
