Annual Toys For Tots Campaign Begins Saturday

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program will open registration for the 2013 Palm Bay campaign beginning this weekend and there are only two opportunities for local families to register.

Registration for Palm Bay families in need of assistance will be held Saturday November 16th and again on Saturday November 23rd from 9 a.m.-2p.m. at Palm Bay City Hall located at 120 Malabar Rd. SE.

All parents/guardians requesting to receive toys for their children must meet documentation requirements including the following:

Proof of identity: A valid Florida driver license or Florida photo identification card

Proof of residency: power, water or cable bill

Proof of child/children: birth certificates and social security cards for each child

Proof of federal or state aid through food stamps (store receipt within 30 days), HUD housing, Section 8 housing, Medicaid, FLA Kids Care, or WIC, state welfare, proof of unemployment, Reduced of Free lunches (NO EXCEPTIONS)

In 2012, 350 Palm Bay families received assistance through the program which helped nearly 12,000 families countywide.  Donations of any new, unwrapped toy in support of the program will be accepted at all of the city of Palm Bay fire stations, Fire Department Headquarters on Carlyle Ave. SE, and Palm Bay City Hall.  For a complete list of fire stations and addresses visit www.palmbayflorida.org/fire.
