Doyle, a freshman guard from Palm Bay, FL, and Heritage High, totaled 45 points in Eastern Florida’s first two games of the season in the Eagle Classic at Trinity Baptist College in Jacksonville.

Doyle scored a team-high 30 points in Eastern Florida’s 85-46 season-opening victory against Florida College and was second on the team with 15 points in the 82-75 loss to Johnson & Wales.

Madera, a freshman goalkeeper from Sanger, CA and Sanger High, was in the net for all three of Eastern Florida’s NJCAA Region 17 tournament victories last week including the Titans’ championship-clinching penalty-kicks victory against Georgia Perimeter College on Sunday.

Madera allowed three goals in the Titans 4-3 play-in victory against Middle Georgia, had a clean sheet in the 2-0 semifinal victory over host Darton College and allowed two regulation-time goals against Georgia Perimeter but also made key saves including a point-blank effort in overtime.

In the penalty kick shootout Madera allowed one goal in four shots, swatting away Perimeter’s final attempt to give the Titans the victory.
