Man Shot on Poplar Lane in Melbourne

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA — Melbourne Police Department is investigating a shooting incident on Poplar Lane that sent Victor Jackson to the hospital with non life-threatening gunshot wounds to his legs.
According to Sgt. Sheridan Shelley, the shooting was reported at approximately 10:18 p.m. Monday night. When officers arrived on scene, they located Jackson, a 30 year old Poplar Lane resident, Victor Jackson. Evidence at the scene indicates the shooting took place on the street and not within a residence.
