Space Coast State Fair Supports Humane Society

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA — The 2013 Bright House Networks 27th Annual Space Coast State Fair raised $7,429.56 for the homeless animals at the Central Brevard Humane Society.

The Space Coast State Fair was held  Nov. 7 – 17, on the grounds of Space Coast Stadium in Viera. Thousands of people attended the 11-day event.

“It’s a pleasure to have such strong supporters in our community as Bright House Networks, Space Coast Daily and the Space Coast State Fair,” said Theresa Clifton, Central Brevard Humane Society Executive Director.

Proceeds will go to help pay for food, shelter and medical care for thousands of homeless animals at the Humane Society in Cocoa.

“We are pleased to be able to support the Central Brevard Humane Society in its efforts to aid the homeless animals,” said Giles Malone, Chairman of the Space Coast State Fair.

“The Space Coast State Fair is an event for all of Brevard County and the committee is thankful for the support of the Viera community and all the county staff and volunteers who helped make the event such a success and ultimately to raise these important funds for the aid of the animals.”

‘NO KILL FOR SPACE’ SHELTER

Founded in 1952, the Central Brevard Humane Society is Brevard County’s oldest established animal welfare organization.

Humane-society-180-1A “no kill for space” shelter, the Central Brevard Humane Society is dedicated to speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves.

The the Central Brevard Humane Society educates the community on responsible pet ownership and the humane treatment of animals, is an advocate for spaying/neutering to reduce the homeless pet population and provides the best quality care to Brevard’s abandoned animals by placing them with responsible, caring owners in “forever” homes.
