Cocoa Police Seek Armed Robber

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA — At approximately 1:30 p.m. today, a man entered the Chase Bank located in Cocoa Commons on 2301 SR 524 in Cocoa gave the teller a note and displayed a handgun.

According to Cocoa Police’s Public Information Officer Barbara Matthews, the suspect then exited the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect was seen running from the bank and possibly getting into a dark 2 door car (possibly a black Toyota). Witnesses advised the car has white on the bottom side “skirt” area of the vehicle. Although the suspect displayed the gun, no one was hurt inside the bank. 

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cocoa Police Department or Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS (8477). The fourth photo has a very good picture of the suspect’s face. At this time, investigators are still on scene at the bank.
