EFSC Planetarium and Observatory Offers Stunning Shows

DISCOUNTS FOR MULTIPLE SHOWS

The Planetarium is home to two amazing theaters. Our 70-foot diameter Star Theater houses the world’s first combined Digital & Optical-Mechanical projection system. Featuring both Digistar and Minolta Infinium star projectors together with an array of special effects projectors and lasers, the Star Theater simulates stunningly realistic views of the starry night sky as seen from Brevard County. Planetarium shows in the Star Theater feature live tours of the night sky followed by feature presentations on various topics in Astronomy. The Star Theater is also home to our special laser shows that combine music and laser effects. Combined running time is typically 50 min. Comfortable, unidirectional seating accommodates 210. You can also enjoy a stunning laser show under the dome for an unforgettable experience and then visit their art gallery and gift shop before taking advantage of the mile-long nature trail that circles Clearlake Road right outside the impressive facility.

DISCOUNTS FOR MULTIPLE SHOWS

All laser extravaganza tickets are $8. Single planetarium and movie admissions are adults $8; Seniors/Students/Military, $7; Children (12 and under), $5. Discounts are available when you attend multiple shows and the Observatory is always free.

HOURS OF OPERATION 

• Exhibit Hall: Wednesday 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Friday & Saturday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
• Public Shows: Wednesday 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.; Friday & Saturday evening at 7 p.m., 8 p.m. and 9 p.m.
• Observatory: (weather permitting) Friday & Saturday evenings, Dusk-10:00 p,m,
