BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Tech Sophomore forward Aubri Williamson received a post season award when she was named to the Daktronics All-South Region Second Team.
The Davie, Fla. native led the Panthers with 14 goals and one assist for a total of 29 points. Six of Williamson’s goals were game winning scores. Williamson’s goal total also ranked third in the Sunshine State Conference.
She averaged 3.74 shots per game, and .74 goals per contest. Williamson recorded her first career hat trick with three goals against Nova Southeastern back on Sept. 24.
“It is not a big surprise, she had a very dominant and successful season,” said head coach Fidgi Haig.
“She was one of the top forwards in the region, and she is just a sophomore so I am looking forward to what happens over the next few years.”
Williamson was one of 14 players from the SSC to be named Daktronics All-South Region.
The Panthers finished the 2013 season with a 12-6-2 overall record and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
