George C. Rodrigues, 81, Passed Away On Dec. 4

OBITUARY
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — George C. Rodrigues, 81, died on December 4, 2013 at home after a long battle with a chronic illness.
He was born on January 12, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY to George and Mabel (Jelly) Rodrigues.
George graduated from NYU with a B.I.E. degree. He and Aileen married on June 13, 1953. He spent 2 years in the Army – some in Korea. In 1956, they moved to Washington, Georgia and they spent the next 25 years working and raising their 6 children.
In 1981, he and Aileen moved to Satellite Beach, Florida where he worked at Patrick AFB. Retiring in 1996, he volunteered with the Shine Program (Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders) and with the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Aileen; children, George (Fran), Michael (Susan), Barbara, Peter (Cheryl), John (Vicki) and Elizabeth (Alison); sister Dorothy; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He was very proud of his family and will be missed by many.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Aileen; children, George (Fran), Michael (Susan), Barbara, Peter (Cheryl), John (Vicki) and Elizabeth (Alison); sister Dorothy; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. A funeral mass will be held at Holy Name of Jesus on December 14, 2013 at 10:30 followed by burial in the memorial garden.
