Henegar Center Embarks on Joint Venture with BACKSTAGE Arts

Classes taught by Christine Manning Brandt

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — The Henegar Center for the Arts announced the creation of a joint venture, for their education programs at The Feller Theater Academy, with BACKSTAGE Arts of Merritt Island. Beginning in January 2014, performing arts classes will be offered for children from grades one through 12.

Classes, taught by Christine Manning Brandt, will include Storybook Theatre, Song and Dance, Drama Lab, Acting, Improv, Musical Theatre and Broadway Tap and Jazz Dance.

Christine Manning Brandt, owner and operator of BACKSTAGE Arts of Merritt Island, brings extensive experience and education to the program as a professional singer, former Equity actress, and Dance Masters certified dance educator.

She has toured nationally and performed in principal roles with production companies throughout the East Coast. Mrs. Brandt was featured as a performer on the stages of Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and area theatre attractions.

BRANDT STUDIED MUSICAL THEATRE AT UCF

A Brevard County native, she studied Musical Theatre at UCF and pursued additional education from institutions of higher learning throughout Florida and New York.
