MAGICAL PARADE FEATURING SPARKLING LIGHTS

BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – The Viera Company’s ‘Light Up Viera’ will celebrate the holiday season with a magical parade full of sparkling lights, professionally decorated floats, marching bands and Santa Claus arriving on his sleigh.

Set for Saturday, Nov. 30, the "Light Up Viera" parade will be followed by a special free holiday concert featuring festive holiday tunes performed by the Brevard Symphony Orchestra. (Brevard Symphony image)

Set for this Saturday, Nov. 30, the parade will be followed by a special free holiday concert featuring festive holiday tunes performed by the Brevard Symphony Orchestra.

The parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Breslay Drive, and will finish at Space Coast Stadium, where the concert will begin at 7:45 p.m.

“Light Up Viera will kick off the holiday season for all of Brevard County and surrounding counties,” said said Joane Dowd, Events Director for The Viera Company.

The Brevard Symphony Orchestra, which entertains and enriches individuals and communities by creating exceptional, live symphonic music is sure to add to the festive atmosphere.

“We invited the entire business community to participate by taking advantage of showcasing their company with a corporate float that is professionally decorated and delivered with thier corporate signage – all they have to do is show up, climb aboard and have a jolly good time,” said Dowd.

“The professional floats are coming from the west coast and are the same ones that are showcased on television at the best parades in Florida. Businesses may rent one of those floats for the parade, or they may enter their own float. But they must meet the float guidelines, as we want this parade to be something very special for Brevard.

All area marching bands were also invited to ‘Light Up’ and join the parade.

‘MAGICAL 3-D GLASSES’ AVAILABLE AT THE VIERA DISCOVERY CENTER

In addition to sponsoring ‘Light Up Viera,’ the Viera Company will provide complimentary magical 3-D glasses that will enhance your parade and concert experience – as well as your entire holiday season.

“When a person wears the glasses and looks at any light, they see lots of reindeer, snow flakes and other festive images,” said Dowd.

“As our floats in the parade will be covered with holiday lights, it should make for a lovely and fun experience that people will fondly remember.”

The Magical 3-D glasses will be available the entire month of November at the Viera Discovery Center.
