BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA —  Coming off a terrific performance last weekend in the victory over Saint Leo, the Florida Tech Panthers will get back in action by hosting #14 Rollins Wednesday night.

Wednesday will be the first of two games in conference play between the Panthers and Tars.

The Panthers (10-4, 1-1 SCC) picked up an SSC road win last weekend with a 59-40 victory over Saint Leo.

The Panthers were led in the game by junior Kayk Wilson who scored a game-high 23 points.

It was the sixth game this season that Wilson has scored at least 20 points, and she has been in double-figures every game.

Wilson is second in the conference in scoring at 18.6 points per game. Sophomore Diamond Cooper added four blocks, the most in a game for a Panther since March 12, 2011.

The Tars (11-2, 1-1 SSC) come into Wednesday night on a three game winning streak of their own after holding on to defeat Tampa 59-58. The Tars have had the edge over Florida Tech, defeating the Panthers three times last season including in overtime in the Clemente Center, and in the SSC Tournament.

This season the Tars are led in scoring by Sarah Blackburn who is averaging 11.7 points per game.

FOURTH IN THE CONFERENCE

The Panthers enter the game fourth in the conference in scoring at 71.6 points per game. The Tars are eighth at 64.2 points per game.

Rollins does have the top scoring defense in the league, holding opponents to 53.3 points. The Panthers’ defense ranks fifth at 62.3.

The game also features two coaches who both have over 25 seasons at the helm of their programs. John Reynolds is in his 27th season at the head of the Panther program with a career record of 486-270.

Glenn Wilkes Jr. is in his 28th season as the head coach for Rollins, and has a career record of 614-200.

Tip-off Wednesday is set for 5:30 p.m. ET with a live video broadcast beginning at 5:15 p.m. on FloridaTechSports.comThe Panthers will continue SSC play Saturday when they host Tampa at 2 p.m. ET.
