MELBOURNE • BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA —WFIT 89.5 FM of Florida Institute of Technology has received a Community Cultural Grant through the Brevard County Community Cultural Grant program, which is managed by the Brevard Cultural Alliance.

The grant will fund concerts, interviews, recording, production and more at the new WFIT Broadcast Center on campus.

The award was part of almost $100,000 in new grant awards to support 28 Brevard County arts and cultural organizations or events.

WFIT’s mission is to provide quality programming designed to enrich and enhance the cultural and educational environment of East Central Florida.

The station forms a unique liaison between the educational resources of Florida Institute of Technology and the informational needs of its listeners.
