Mario Beabraut Identified As Dead Man In Retention Pond

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Mario R. Beabraut, 60, has been identified as the dead man found yesterday in a retention pond in Titusville, according to police.

According to the Titusville Police Department,  the cause of death was drowning as Beabraut’s body was found in the pond face down by a resident of the neighborhood on SR 50.

The Titusville police believe Beabraut, a Titusville resident, may have gotten stuck in the mud and could not escape.

There was no sign of a crime, according to police, and the results of the toxicology test and medical examiner’s investigation were not yet complete.
