BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — Basketball players Jessica Doyle, Rachelle Aupont and Jermohn Queen are the Eastern Florida State College Female and Male Student-Athletes of the Week respectively for the week ending Feb. 9.

Doyle, a freshman guard from Palm Bay, FL and Heritage High, totaled 60 points as Eastern Florida split two games. She scored 28 in a loss to Miami Dade College and 32 in a victory over Broward College. Doyle went 12-for-24 from the three-point line in the two games.

Aupont, a freshman from Orlando, FL and Edgewater High, totaled 44 points and 29 rebounds in the two games: 20 points and 12 rebounds against Miami Dade and 24 points and 17 rebounds against Broward giving her six double-doubles in the last seven games.

QUEEN SCORED A CAREER-HIGH 29 POINTS

Queen, a freshman from Stuart, FL and Martin County High, scored a career-high 29 points, 19 in the first half including 14 straight, in Eastern Florida’s 70-65 victory over Indian River State.

The Florida College System Activities Association Southern Conference triumph was Eastern Florida’s 30th consecutive at home moving its season record to 21-6 and its first-place conference record to 7-2.
