ABOVE VIDEO: Budweiser’s Super Bowl XLVIII commercial follows the special friendship between the Clydesdales and a puppy. 

The Super Bowl has frequently been the most watched American television broadcast every year, but Super Bowl XLV played in 2011 became the most-watched American television program in history, with an average audience of 111 million viewers.

As a result, these much anticipated television commercials carries a high price: at Super Bowl XLVII in 2013, the average cost of a 30-second advertisement was around $4 million. In 1967, the price of a 30 second ad was only $40,000.
