BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – The 11th annual Doctors’ Goodwill Foundation Doctor’s Expo & Banquet will be held at the Holiday Inn Express in Cocoa on Saturday, March 15 as local physicians and health care practitioners attend classes, meet with exhibitors, network and attend the evening Gala.

DGF Corporate Partnerships include Association of American Physicians Inc., Brevard County Health Department Brevard County Pharmacy Association, Brevard Physicians Network, Brevard Medical Society, Central Florida Physicians of Indian Origin, First Choice Medical Group, Health First, Hospice of St Francis,  Indian American Chamber of Commerce, NASA, Palm Cottages, Parrish Medical Center, Space Coast Cancer Center, Space Coast Medicine & Active Living, The Doctors Company, VITAS, UCF College of Medicine, Walgreens and Wuesthoff Medical Center.

Exhibitors will include Health First Systems, Sea Pines, Space Coast Cancer Center, Gentiva, Parrish Medical Center, Central Florida Home Health, My MedWALL and the Brevard County Health Department, among others.

The DGF Doctors’ Expo will feature a comprehensive daytime Community Health Fair, and will also include children’s games, food trucks, sports physicals, bounce houses and a visit from the Fire Department.

The Doctors’ Goodwill Foundation offers continuing education credits, a venue to learn about new and innovative products and services and provides free healthcare to those in need.

“During the past 11 years, we have helped thousands throughout the world, including those in disaster areas in the United States, and also organizations and people in need in our community,” said Dr. Kantilal Bhalani, Doctors’ Goodwill Foundation Founder. “The Expo is a full day of health and fun, and the opportunity for health care workers to receive free CME’s and CEUs.”

To help those that wish to further their education in healthcare, the Foundation has awarded more than 60 scholarships to date. Patient Advocacy Support Services (PASS) is a service offered by the Foundation.

“PASS is a non-profit group designed to help consumers navigate the health care system, understand their health needs, and get information on medications and insurance – we plan to offer PASS statewide” said Barbara Carter.

COALITION TO IMPROVE HEALTHCARE

The Doctors Goodwill Foundation is a coalition of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, allied health professionals, hospitals, healthcare agencies and area businesses who have joined together to improve the healthcare system.
