Alessandro Lima went 2-for-3 for Eastern Florid with a double and a run batted in. Alex Perez took the loss on the mound.

“Our offense has put us in the national rankings, they have done a great job,” said Eastern Florida head coach Jeff Tam.

“The guys are working hard and taking good at bats and executing. If we expect to stay there (nationally ranked) we need to get the pitching and defense to do the same. They are show signs of improvement but need to make better pitches in tough situations more consistently.

“Teams that are ranked in the top of the polls win close games and we are struggling with that at times.”
