Golf Hosts St. Peter’s University Today In Rockledge
Fresh off its first tournament victory of the spring season Eastern Florida’s golf team hosts NCAA Division I St. Peter’s University on Tuesday at the Rockledge Country Club.
The 18-hole match tees off at 2 p.m. and spectators are welcome.
All seven of Eastern Florida’s golfers – Dalton Bartlett, Kyle Benson, Drew Cooke, Brad Gray, Arthur Leonard, Nicholas Maynard and Lorenzo Bolivar – will compete. Each match will count for one point and ties ½ point.
Gray, Maynard, Leonard, Benson and Cooke competed for the Titans as they won the Doublegate Collegiate Invitational hosted by Darton State College in Albany, GA last week.
Eastern Florida head coach Jamie Howell is hopeful his players maintain the momentum.
“Winning can be contagious just like the other side,” Howell said. “We are in the process for preparing for (next week’s) Florida Tech’s event as well and this will be a good week of work for the guys.
“Tuesday’s match gets us into the competitive frame of mind and further identifies what we need to do to improve.”
