Palm Bay Man Dies After Vehicle Overturns on Minton Rd

WEST MELBOURNE, FLORIDA — A Palm Bay man was killed during an accident that occurred around 2:50 AM Sunday morning at the intersection of Carriage Gate Dr. and Minton Rd. in West Melbourne.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, Jonathan Sarakas , 48 was traveling southbound on Minton Rd in his 2000 Mercury sedan when he lost control of his vehicle for an unknown reason. According the the FHP report, Sarakas traveled onto the shoulder, then over corrected and traveled through the median and across the northbound lanes, where the vehicle overturned. Sarakas wasn’t wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.
This accident remains under investigation.
