The Brevard Tea Party Fifth Anniversary Celebration will allow voters to engage with candidates at the local and state, as well as members of local grassroots clubs. A straw poll will be conducted by the Brevard Supervisor of Elections.

Admission is free to the public, and food and drinks will be available for purchase.

The event is hosted by the Brevard Tea Party and WMMB AM is the sponsor.

“Brevard is a predominantly Republican county, and the fact is most of our races are decided in the primaries, not the general election,” said Brevard Tea Party Organizer Matt Nye. “This event gives voters the opportunity to meet and interact with candidates from both parties at every level in a casual, fun and relaxed environment.”

The event will feature guest speakers, entertainment and dozens of exhibitors.

“Our elected officials continue to do business as usual, and completely disregard the reality that the unsustainable spending cannot continue indefinitely,” Nye said. “Our goal is to turn out as many voters as possible to ensure they are as well informed as possible about the candidates before the primaries take place.”
