VIERA, FLORIDA — After a 90-minute deliberation, jurors convicted Brandon Bradley of first degree murder, robbery, fleeing or attempting to elude a law enforcement officer, and resisting an officer with violence.

During a press conference on the courthouse lawn,  Sheriff Wayne Ivey commented on the verdict.

“For our Brevard County Sheriff’s Office family and for the Pill family, we are absolutely pleased with the verdict of today and we are certainly waiting with anticipation for the next phase, so that we can bring closure to this case,” Ivey said. It’s no secret Barbara was loved by all of us. She was ever present on our minds every day. She was not only a great lady but she was also a great law enforcement officer.”

State attorney Phil Archer reiterated Ivey’s sentiments regarding community interest in the case and the fair coverage of the trial.

“We’re prepared to proceed with part two of this process on Thursday,” Archer said. “We also want to thank the media for a well-run process. We’re glad that your hear during part one of this process.”
