Melbourne Police Taking Back Unwanted Medications

MELBOURNE-POLICE-180MELBOURNE, FLORIDA — Melbourne Police, in collaboration with the Drug Enforcement Administration, will be hosting a pharmaceutical take-back event this Saturday, April 26th, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Melbourne Police Department.

This is an anonymous event; therefore officers will not be gathering anyone’s information. Members of the community are encouraged to bring in all expired or unused prescription medications before they end up in the wrong hands. Proper disposal of prescription medications also helps keep them out of our waste and water supplies. Illicit drugs such as marijuana or methamphetamine; and any intra-venous solutions, injectable medications, or syringes will not be accepted.
